Alright, an update. I finally got the rough of the animation done. Still has some timing issues near the end I want to iron out, but since I got all the movements down, I'm pretty sure it's safe to do my final linework/coloring. Geez, I'm suprised at how hard it was to keep this under 10 seconds. Maybe I'm depending on the "pause for emphasis" too much. If you guys have any advice on anything about the animation thus far, I'd be glad to hear it (especially considering how nice it'd be even though I'm competing with you guys).

OH my god! You posted....animation!!!! (i'm not trying to sound bellitiling or sarcastic, it's just I think this is the first time i've seen you post animation....ever). It's looking nice too, nice buildup to the action. Mabey start thinking about brining in some kind of counteraction/reaction to the exlossion (mabey even just a shell falling from the sky at the end). But yea get to work on it, make us proud!

Don't worry about it, I was totally expecting this from you due to my notorious reputation at the LAST animation forum I'm posted at. I was also considering the shell falling thing, just didn't rough it because I haven't decided upon the best way to impliment it yet (and I didn't know why I felt the animation needed the shell falling thing, which only looked like something that took up precious time within the animation. Glad to see that nagging feeling was actually animation intuition. :) ) Maybe I can get it to work if I have it fall late in the explosion, but not afterwards *because I really don't want to go past the 10 second mark, even though I'm fairly sure it's not a strict guideline*. Regardless I'll experiment with it.

And if I don't win that damn book, I am going to make damn well sure I at least make you guys proud! (You can tell I'm totally being serious because I'm swearing in an unnecisarry fashion! ;) )
