part of it will be bringing back 2d aniamtion (refering to the future at disney). You know look at the work of Hayo Miyazaki in Japan and tell me that 2d animation is dead.

I knew he was outspoken about his feelings on Disney production in recent years But some of the stuff he says here realy impressed. He rightfully speaks out about how 2d animation has been scapegoated in America.

I love lasseter, but I hate his Neo-Disney CARTOONS R 4 KIDS ideals. - pigeon-holing an entire industry. Other than that, his repsect for the medium is genuine and his talent is clear.

I'm not too worried about the scapegoaring thing considering the recent lineup of 3d movies in America (I mean how the hell could the public watch that and not realise it's still the same crap?). Of course, hopefully it won't lead from a scapegoating of 2d animation to a scapegoating of 3d animation.

Lasseter comments on how lazy people in the industry were blaming 2d animation for bad storytelling. And now you can see people blaming 3d for bad storytelling. Cuz god forbid it's just lame people making lame stories. Always have to blame the format :)

Hope that explains it a little better. Watch the video though =p
