WOW! Is this ever an awesome forum site. I'm glad I found it (thanks to NOOB).

Any way I have an animation that I've been working on for a while now and I'd really like some more ideas, suggestions and definitely improvements I can make on it. I have done a bit of poking around this site and there are a lot of very talented animators here... I can't wait to hear what you guys say!

The file size is around 2.1MB right now (Requires Flash 8)... hope you think the wait is worth it.

Oh and how do I resize the .swf file in this post or is it even possiable? Sorry I've never used a .swf tag before. Or you can just go here ( http://freewebs.com/loc06/planes.htm ) and see it in it's intended size.

Fantastic Liam. Very good for something that's not finished. I can't wait to see the final cut. Two questions:1, what programs did you use? I thought I saw some 3D camera rotation, and 2. Will the jets have CF on them?:D :D That part was just a fellow proud Canadian comment. :D I have a dogfight sequence on the back burner but will be a comedy with WW1 planes.

Very well done Liam and welcome aboard. :D :D

Welcome, Liam! that's freakin' sweet! can't wait to see the rest. I think the underwater shot was my favorite bit design-wise.

All the aircraft are 3-d cel-shaded. Lookin nice. Glad to see some 2-d in there for explosions and FX instead of 3-D particle systems.

 ... FINISH THIS!!

In the last scene(under water scene) is that a huge creature that goes by the screen? Or is it just a transition?

Welcome to AF Liam. Nice Dogfight, can't wait to see the final product.

What did you use to render, Swift?

Thank you guys for the great comments, I'm glad you think it's looking good so far and that you guys for the warm welcome!

To answer your questions, I created the planes in Swift 3D. They are the first things that I have ever really made in 3D so they are really basic. I have no clue on how to do textures or anything so I don't think the planes will have anything on them. If I could stick on the maple leaf I would but I don't know how and have already got a good bit done so I don't think I'm going to re-do it, sooooorry. :(

In the final underwater shot the big black thing at the end will probably be a shark or something... I don't really know yet, I should really finish my story boarding shouldn't I?! ;) In that scene the moving water at the top took me quite a while to make look somewhat realistic, what do you guys think?
