Digicel Flipbook is now available for Mac OSX, and the beta version can be downloaded for free. When it's finished it will be sold for the regular $999, and since the beta is fully functional, get it while you can! It's a great program!
How many people here have Mac anyway?

If by "not that good for animating" you mean "a stable and optimal design platform," then you are correct!

Digicel (with ONE 'l' because of the old celuloid sheets that were used in non-digital traditional animation. But here's it's digital. So it's a Digital Celuloid. Get it? HAHAHA!?) is the company of Flipbook, and it's founded by Kent Braun who seems to also be the founder of ex-industry-standard AXA.
Mac is probably best for anything having to do with (professional) media. Windows is mainly for hobbyists and Linux is flexible so it's used for heavy computer tasks (like 3D animation).

Windows is mainly for hobbyists Wow. Sweeping (and stupid) generalisation of the week...

Sorry if I offended you. It sounds stupid yeah. I just mean that you don't see many kids who draw animation as a hobby with a mac since they're pretty damn expensive.
I don't mean that Windows is for hobbyists only.
Again, sorry.

its not good for animating at all...its only good for shooting animated, thats it. At least the latest version i had used. One other thing that kind of sucks about it is once you install it on one comp, thats it, you cant install it on anything else. You have to calle the guy in charge and have give you a different serial number.

I'd have to say that I do prefer using a Mac for design projects whenever possible. Although I have yet to get a company to buy ME a mac so I can have it at home. I like PC's because I can tinker with them easier. But it's still generally regarded that if you're doing anything design wise (Animation, Video Production, Digital Artwork) that it's better to use a Mac. And generally PC's are better for computations Excel, servers. Although linux is best for servers. ANYWAYS. Those are all general thoughts. There are multiple exceptions. Straight out of the box though most PC's aren't great for design work. imo.

Errm? What isn't good for animating and why? Flipbook or Mac?
And about that multiple computers thing, if you just buy one serial he just gives you a new serial for the new computer.
