My first suggestion?

There is a person We shall Call: I. C.Yoo ,

They are a proffesional Forum Lurker. No one has ever seen them or even knows if they are male or female. They are a dark and eilussive character with quick reflexes and wide leering eyes and nimble fingers. Most often known as game cheaters, googel spiders or MSN bots Or we could draw a character of a person called Johnny Postknot, wait a minute.............that would be just a blank page and everyone would win points. ahhahahahahaha

cart:D

ok I'll shut up now:Xead:

I'm real big on mixing it up so here goes my CD.

Bill Crude is an aspiring Swashbuckler , he dreams of being a world class Pirate one day but can't seem to get his foot in the door. The only work he found was on a Ninja Ship as a Cannon range tester. He daily changes the combination of his Ninja and Pirate clothes and gear. Bill has 1 wooden ear and a set of plastic Nunchucks. He can't afford a parrot so his animal companion is a depressed blind albino rat with wooden pegs for legs.

Not saying this'll get picked at all, but if they do get picked, are you allowed to enter the design competition?

Kelly Bendewald absolutely hates her appearance. She wears braces on her teeth and her legs. Acne constantly attacks her face. Her fashion sense was outdated in the 1700's. The next morning is junior prom and she can't sleep! She doesn't want to go, but her mom's making her.

Kelly's lazy-ass hack of a Fairy Godmother finally shows up. The fairy is disorganized and discombobulated. Possibly drunk. She hovers on thin wings that can't possibly have the horsepower to keep her fat ass in the air. But somehow they do. She lifts a magic wand, or baguette, or... empty wine bottle, and taps Kelly's forehead.

Design for us both characters just before Kelly is tapped and transformed, or just after. I want to see emotion in the facial expressions!

That sounds like a good one. What line weight do we use to draw discombobulation? :D

Bobby "Long Dong" Young is a world known black Porn Star, he has the biggest penis in the world to date, is a part time pimp, lives with his parents and loves to eat chicken soaked in hot sauce. His Father is the proudest Father in world, why? because he gets to manage his son.:D :D

Bobby Long Dong Young...is he Chinese?

Here's a suggestion:

Trudy Trollup is a five time divorcee. She hangs around bars looking for men to take care of her. She used to be quite a looker back in the day (when she use to date Bobby Long Dong Young) but the years, booze and bed-hopping have taken their toll. Underneath her rough, wrinkled exterior, you can almost catch a glimpse of her once-had beauty.....if you're real drunk!

She wears way too much makeup, her wig is way outdated and her teeth are any shade but white and match her filthy, moth-eaten fur coat. She smokes like a chimney factory and for a free drink, she'll do you and your cousins twice removed! But bring a gas mask as her breath is horrendous! (one of her devorces was from me:eek: )

Jason Burke lives alone in a 1-room studio flat. His furniture consists of a table, a loveseat and a 12 inch black and white TV. He has never experience food outside Wild Win's Chinese Take-Out, and never plans too.

Jason is going to kill himself this sunday. He is not a whiny little emo boy, nor is he bi-polar. He simply feels he's done living... at 17. He's not sure just how's going to do it just yet, but he'll definately go out with a bang.

You can choose one of two tasks:

1 - Take the serious road a show his anticiaption through body language and facial expression. Backgrounds for an atmospheric feel are highly reccomended/

2 - Go comedic and show Jason trying to decided from a wacky array of suicidal methods.

Islam? Hahah...

Greek gods would be an excellent idea.... I was thinking that maybe Tarot cards would be a great idea, too.

weird one:

What about taking a common saying (or a stereotype) about an animal, and designing the exception to that rule.

Example sayings would be:

An elephant never forgets.
A zebra (or tiger) can't change his stripes.
Birdbrained.
Stubborn as an ox. Or pigheaded.

Saying/stereotype could be left open to the contestants.

I don't know...

How about some colonial, up to early twentieth century, Central American folklore in the land of conquistadors and Spanish rule? A Guatemalan legend:

Don't let his size fool you. El Sombreron is a little man, whose face features (and half of his body) are hidden under the shadow of a miner's hat (sombrero) almost as big as himself. He wanders the earth, dragging his coal bearing mules around as an eternal punishment imposed by the devil himself. He has fun making horses crazy by making dreadlocks on their hair. That's the reason why sometimes they will get impatient in the barn, late at night. With a guitar that he carries around strapped to his back, he serenades young women, every night, until they die of a broken heart, even if they never see him. They grow depressed and stop eating. Some say, that it is not coal what you'll find in the mules' saddlebags, but the souls of all those poor women.

Since this is the official CD suggestion thread, here is my official CD suggestion...

How about a terrible Spider made only of computers, chords, and other electronic devices. He terrorizes those in "computer land" and lives only to laugh at their destruction :(

Yes, it sounds corny, but I think it could be sweet.

Well with the CD weeklies kinda slowing down lately, was thinking migh tbe a good idea to make one now for St. Patrick's day or somthing. Maybe a Leprechaun or even could be less specific & just something that relates to the holiday, whether gimmicky green beer crap or some real Irish history. Give people til 3/17 & hopefully we can drum up some more participation (from myself included :o)

Just a thought.... opinions?

Hi all,

I was wondering what was going on with the CD and just saw Pat's comments.

I really found these challenges helpful...they put me under the gun to "get er done"...creating from an outside idea...instead of just drawing what comes to mind...was a great challenge to MYSELF.

I think Pat's got a fine idea for St Patties Day...and I'd be happy to take part in that too.

Is that on?

I wonder too if ending the "awards"...and just making it a "friendly" challenge...and then having the fun and inspiration of seeing what people come up with...would encourage more people to contribute?

Either way...I've enjoyed these...and major thanks to dlpwillywonka for hosting.

Hey chair,

As usual, life (work, women [mostly the women part {no seriously. don't believe me? FINE!}]) is getting in the way of spending much needed time in front of the computer so there are more challenges coming, thanks for the interest. I appreciate it.

just had another thought - doesn't have to be a CD weekly, but it certainly could be if people are into it. Not sure what people's feelings are on posting pics, but I think it'd be great fun & practice to have challenges where we caricature each other, or even do realistic portraits, whatever floats yer boat.

Anyone interested in this? I think it'd be great to see what the talent here could come up with & probably make for a lot of good laughs too :p :D Whadda you guys think??

That's not too bad of an idea K-dog. Personally I prefer drawing from my imagination, but it might be good practice.

I thought up an idea, we should have to draw the evolutionary scale of a made up creature.
