Heh, you seem to know facial porpotions pretty well. (although it's kinda weird how the eyes were placed lower on the skull than normal, but got offset and balanced by the fact that the hairline barely raised above the skull) And this tutuorial is good at teaching what people need to know, but with enough freedom for them to take their faces wherever they want.

Plus I dont think I'd ever have the guts to post a tutorial. I mean, I don't think I'll ever reach a point where I'm so satisfied with my art that I feel I have the right to teach other people how to do theirs (even if they are complete newbs).

I'm not satisfied with my art, NEVER. lol
But I just wanted to show what my knowledge so far is...thanks to you, Burne Hogarth :D

Oh yea, I kinda moved the eyes a little bit down...and made them big.

Yay, talent point!

What books do you recommend then?
Round? Like what, the way he draws hands?

I like how you guys didn't put me down like this: http://www.fluidanims.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=81

I recommend sitting down and drawing a still life of a bunch of pumpkins stacked in a wicker basket next to some open ears of corn. Keep your eyes on the subject 90% of the time and only glimpse at the drawing the other 10%. Learn to trust your hands.

Hogarth is great IMO - I love how he sets up 3-d geometry and carves out of it. But I never used his books per se, and I have no books to recommend. There's a great stretch of diff between learning and doing. Just tryin' t'help. That said, I still think that's a nifty tutorial:)
