This is going to be a mini short I'll try to push out before the winter :) Watching Pyrats reminded me of Monkey Island and I decided to make a small animation that also revolves around Pirates.
Not much done today. Just made the title screen and a tiny water ripple. I'm also thinking of sticking with this music score. It's from one of the MI games.

Thanks guys. I'll try to push in some other updates as soon as I can. I don't think I'll be adding to the BG, I'm working on the animation of introducing one of the characters.

Thanks for the feedback August. I've been thinking about changing the title style myslef, the T does throw you off. I want it to look more woody. This is the first time I'm actualy doing my own font :D

During the last week I've managed to laydown a storyboard for the opening scene of Driftwood. I haven't scanned it in since it's on a huge sketch pad that wont fit in my scanner. But I will resketch it digitally sometime this week.
Anyhow , the adventure starts on a tropical vacation island called Driftwood Island. We are first introduced to Guybrush Threepwood
as he awakens in the aniversary/love suite with a killer hangover due to a night filled with grogg and lust with his lovely wife Elaine Marley.
As he turns his head to glance at his lovely companion , he is shocked to instead be staring at a note stabbed to her pillow by a pirates blade.
Guybrush reads the note , stands up, turns pale and faints, realizing that another heroic rescue adventure lays ahead.

Terro, are you using black colours for shadows? I've probably said that before, but I don't think it's the best way to go.
Also, you don't seem to be confident enough with your last piece. Loosen up, go crazy. And like Nubian said, try a more interesting perspective.

Greg,
Looking good.....but where is the depth I'm used to seeing in your BG's? Are you not finished with this?

Yeah, add some perspective and you should trim your toenails, clean your room, fix the toaster, brush your teeth......... Looks great to me, then again, what the hell do I know?
