Ok guys, now that I got that horrible 1 and 2 point perspective out of the way I'll concentrate more on Photoshop and painting. I'm stll not sure how to go about it at this point. It was pretty hard doing this little tutorial in flash with line art, so it would only be 10 times worst to show every step in photoshop.

I'm debating doing the photoshop steps as video tutorials in Quicktime. I think it'll be an easier way to people to pick it up at their own pace.

What do you guys think? Should I go step by step with images and loose a lot of steps along the way. Or should I do a video tutorial type of thing. It'l be faster but not as descriptive.

Videos it is.

I will be posting a few short video tutorials, they will be encoded in the newest Quicktime codec. You will need Quicktime 7 to be able to view them on line.

You can download Quicktime 7 (Still in Public Preview) Here (http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/preview/)

I'm loving how this workshop is progressing so far. (I can't wait until the parts about composition and light shows up, I need the most work with that)

As for the video thing, definitley go with that. You should always opt for the option that allows you to teach in the best way possible. (and the guys with dialup will just have to be more dedicated to learning so they can endure the long downloads)

Wow this forum is looking cooler and cooler by the minute. Cool tuts on the perspective. Curiouse to see if u would add a 3point to that? Or also shoadows. :Blahblahb

Lol, no I will not be adding 3 point perspective because that would lead into 4 and 5 point perspective. If you know 2 point then you should be all good for standard animation.

I must also appologize to everyone, I know I have been really slacking on the workshop but my RL has been kicking my ass. I will get to work on it again shortly.

Great idea! I like the sort hands-on feel to it. I hope we'll have more stuff like this.

If I can make a suggestion, a note on the two point perspective, have enough space between the two points. What I saw in the image in the workshop was that they were too close. Technically the box correct, but to the audience it looks a bit distorted. So either put the points further away from each other, or keep the lines closer to the horizon.
Just my unexperienced two cents. Something.
