Hip-hop star PHARRELL WILLIAMS is obsessed with animation and regularly watches cartoons and Disney movies because they are "life-altering". Williams, who has produced hits for BRITNEY SPEARS, NELLY, JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE and SNOOP DOGG, has to have his favourite cartoon flicks nearby for inspiration. He explains, "I'm always watching Disney cartoons: BAMBI, SNOW WHITE, THE INCREDIBLES and TOY STORY. "It's life-altering, that (stuff). I'm a Cartoon Network fan. And Boomerang. "That's the throwback channel for cartoons. So I'm TiVO-ing (recording) THE JETSONS and THE SMURFS. I'm all the way a Smurfs fan!"

Sheesh, what a loser. What kind of a mature person would watch cartoons?
He must be the only one in the world to do that.

Utterly lame.

Well, maybe it isn't wierd if they make an article out of it when he says it's life-altering. He didn't mention why Smurfs changed his life though. :p

That's actually, really refreshing to know:)

More people need to understand that it's not the plot (though they can be cool too) or platform it's set to, or the designated audience, but the smooth as hell animation. Lion King!!

Lion King? Weird choice to say that it's only the smooth animation that wins people over ;)

Since lion king has a good story, characters, music, etc. AND smooth animation. :)

Yea parts of hamlet are in it. But from what you were saying it sounded like you thought smooth animation was the only aspect of a cartoon that won people over. and by pointing to lion king I said that's an odd choice cuz it had good story, etc.

Now Aeon Flux great animation. horrible stories, music etc. :-)

Oh sure, it had great story, but it was all conveyed so well by the amazing animation, really. I like to think of the animation as kind of the cartoon's version of lifeforce and soul. Kinda like, what's a pizza without the maker? And we do watn pizza, don't we?:D
