Has anyone here tried this software? I'd be interested in hearing opinions from more experienced folks.

I did hear about it. I actually did some research on it a few months back. I read a lot of testimonials because I was really interested in it. Over all I decided not to purchase it for one main reason. The reason being that even though it has some nice animation effects/tools it is still relies heavily on Flash. If you look at their pages on the interaction between the 2 programs it becomes evident that Tab is kind of like Flash with a animator friendly user interface. It has some nice options but if you already own a copy of Flash, you can achieve the same effect. And if you want to add any interaction to your movies, such as action scrip, you will have to import into flash.
I'm still keeping my eye on it but I'll wait till a more solid version comes out before I dish out that cash. Theres always toonboom.

Thanks for all of the feedback. I'm going to try a full version next week to see how I like it. From reading, it seems like Flash Light, half the calories and no transfat. That's good for some things but not good for the price they're asking for the "pro" version.

I purchased a 1 year license to the Tab.
I love the tools, i still got to get used to it. im more used to Toon Boom, etc.
But, its like a cut down version of Toonz. It has a full x-sheet and can do cut-out (not the lite version).
Play with the demo or download Toonz Bravo demo which seems fully functional except the old watermarks and some limitaton. - you do not need to sign up, unlike the demo for the Tab, with is only 15 or 30 day demo, depending on which demo you choose to download. The Bravo demo is unlimited in the amount of time you can use it.
