Final entry.

I was not able to finish nearly as much as i wanted, but i did learn an awful lot, and it gave me something to practice on.

I did it at 24fps on 1's, except for the opening and closing pan shots (those were done by camera moves in the program).

I did a bit more.

My second attempt at chewing.

The transformation begins. I made it a little misleading. It is at 24 fps right now, but it seems to go by too quickly. I made another at 12.

well it should be 24fps man

i like it ,especially the chew,i think the transformation is a bit boring, try to avoid the full flat shot.

doin well,keep it up!

hmm, animation and drawing wise this is pretty strong, but creativity and entertainment wise im afraid its sorely lacking. perhaps something slightly more grandiose like exploding toenails or something would make this pop a little more

This was only to be the beginning of the trasformation. I chose the angle because i was going to have a button fly off his shirt toward the camera to cut to the next scene, where the real transformation begins.

But, i agree with you guys, i should make it a lot more interesting than it is.

Okay, here is my second attempt at the pre-transformation.

It is very jumpy, but just looking for your advice on how the scene is going, before i smooth it out.

Before this, the guy will have taken a bite, chewed and swallowed the apple, then starts to gag (that is his tongue you see). After this, the real transformation happens.

I started working on it again this weekend. It was a while trying to figure out how to get some combined cel levels. I only have one background level and one other level. I finally found a cheaty way around it.
I was working very long days for my job, and i have been trying to get a steel roof on my house before winter hits, so not much time left over.

I look forward to reading your crits, even though i will not have time to do anything with them for this project, i will take note of them for the next thing i do.

p.s. Sorry Vic. I know you like to see the finals when a thread is updated.

p.p.s. I am not very knowledgable about codecs, so it is not as smooth as it should be.

My only crit is that it sounds like you don't think that you are going to get it finished! You have a great look and movement, and could definately make a kickass entry!
What are you using to make this?

Thanks Pixel.

I am hoping to get it finished in time. I just won't have the time to re-work some things.

I am using Digicel flipbook lite.
It took me a bit to figure out a little exporting and importing from the program to give me the effect of more layers.
