Beechy - Transformation

Idea: I wanted to experiment with a surreal string of spontaneous transformations between random objects. Once the 'Fat man' has consumed the apple. He begins the process of becoming the super hero known only as...'The Golden Apple!'

Well I've thought of my basic idea. I hope I can stick with it. I find it hard to push through on self motivated projects. Here goes.

Its been really frustrating. I have been trying to focus on my entry, but have just found no time:mad: . I think now though that I've settled on an idea I'll be able to start getting into this! :D Note: they are the same character

I love his expression and the little gleeful fingerwaggling at the end there. But would someone like him really get excited over an apple?

I thought about the guy gorging himself on some other food...finishing that off...then still feeling hungry and pretty much grabbing the next thing he sees to eat. The Golden apple. My thinking if you like is that the fact the apple is food isnt of any concern... it could be anything... this guy is gonna consume it !:D

Anyway, I'm going into too much depth here. There is much more to come. Havent even got to transforming yet...

Goto somewhere like photobucket, upload your flash file (.SWF) and then when your typing in your next post use the Flash embeding feature in the top right hand of the grey box. Inbetween the 2 SWF tags, type your animation's url address. Hope this helps?

This is still ruffs, (he doesnt pick up the apple does he :s ) but ...the transformation is next...oooowww its gonna be fun to animate :D

Very expressive, Ashley. Love those expressions! What frame rate are you working at? And do you do everything on the computer or is a mix of that and paper?

Its on 2's mainly. I do all my stuff straight into Flash. I do alot of study and sketching outside on paper though. I find this the most intuative way to work. Its hard to resist just tweening alot though, so I've trained myself to cut that to a minimum because I dont favour the results.

I very much like it, but, as for me, at first steps it was more artistically painted. And I thought :eek: in what prog it was made in?! Now, I think, it is clean too much and lost some live effect.
:o but it is very pretty & nice, especially I like chicken :D

I totally agree. I was really happy with my 'pencil' tests. I did all the work straight into Flash. I found the clean-up paticulally difficult. I feel it's something I can learn from and draw experience from. Glad o be a part of the challenge.

That was very entertaining, and it made me smile! Seriously, all these guys at my office where I'm supposed to be working are looking at me and probably wondering, "What is that idiot smiling at?" Then when they come over to my desk and just after I hit "The Boss Is Coming" button, all they see is rows and rows of Excel spreadsheet numbers, which is odd because we don't have Excel at my office.

Seriously, though! Top notch! I just miss some of his expressions that you discarded after clean up, but top notch!:D

Very nice animation, I was trying to think of an idea I could do and I was thinking of having a little kid describe to his friend how cool it would be if he ate a golden apple and turned into a superhero...crazy.
