hahah,yeh vic hates soft shade.

anyway,i can't help u,i made a tut of how do it in flash 8,maybe its similar.but i remember u oddly saying it was too complex.

I'm not exactly a great fan of soft shading either. We're doing 2D animations, so it should LOOK 2D.

Just wanted to know...

how does soft shading make it look any less 2d? :confused:

You're right! It doesn't. Now mind you, using it in scenes like Tarzan where the shadows of the leaves show on his body are perfect, but to use it to give depth to faces and such just sucks. I hated Space Jam!!:mad:

i think the reason they did it in space jam was because they wanted the characters to merge with the real world.

they did the same thing with roger rabbit.Tarzan had soft shade but it wasn't tooo drastic.

i hate the really sooooft shade too.:rolleyes:
