Hello, I'm new to the forum :)
I don't know whether I'll ever make a full-fledged cartoon based on this picture, but I thought it might be appriciated here -
"Crazy Cartoonifornia Dreamin'" or "Remisleep"

This is Remi Vitoux, my anthropomorphic beaver character, here having a dream in which he's a 1930's-style cartoon character, swinging on a vine, twirling his beret, and about to ride a unicorn (tenatively named "Corny the Unicorn") across a desert.
( Here's a pic of what Remi usually looks like (http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/27820658/?qo=14&q=by%3Aanimagusurreal+sort%3Atime+-in%3Ascraps) )
I've been working on some samples for the author of a children's book I might work on, which were of fairly normal things like a kitchen inhabited by humans, so I wanted to do something kind of "out there". Once I decided this was a dream, it became kind of an "anything goes" crossroads of many different ideas.
The curtains and the flowery vine were drawn for the children's book project, and the cityscape was originally for a "City Mouse and Country Mouse" pic that I never finished. The picture of me above the cityscape was taken at a local art sale. You can see the original on my blog at http://animagusurreal.blogspot.com .
There's a concentration of stuff on the right on purpose, to make the desert on the left seem more spare and "desert like."
This is my first black and white pic in months, and my first started-out-and-finished-as-a-black-and-white-pic in years (the last one was a color pic that I switched to grayscale mode).
BTW, this is not based on a dream that I had myself. Almost all of my dreams are about trying to get to Disneyland, and the other night I had one in which the old cartoon Dinosaucers was back on TV.
The suggested "soundtrack" for this pic is the "Hot Honey Rag" from "Chicago" (the music they dance to right after "Nowadays" and right before the end).
