i have a question thats probably very noobie.
in flash 8, when i insert a frame, the picture i drew in the frame before, is copied into the 2nd frame. When i edit the 2nd frame the 1st frame becomes edited as well. How do I fix this.
Thanks,

well im thinking maybe you made what ever it is you are changing into either a graphic or movie clip

so then whenever you change it, it will change all over

so break it apart on the second frame CTRL+B and alter it

should fix your problem, if not let me know

or #2
it also might be in a tween, tweens you cant change the image its just made for moving, so take it out of the tween and break apart

Actually, it's because you made a frame and not a keyframe. Look in your timeline and see if the frame you are editing has a dot inside it. If it does not, then you are editing the first frame before it that does have a dot inside it. Making a keyframe will create a new frame with a dot inside it.

Just be sure that when you want to make a frame with something new in it, you use the "insert keyframe" command. And when you want your current frame to show on the screen for more than one instant, you use the "insert frame" command.

I'm sure the flash helpfile (which comes with the program) or a basic tutorial on flash will explain it more clearly than I have.
