Buy a tablet or dont buy a tablet?

Could anyone please tell me if it is worth buying a pc tablet if i do animations in flash. as flash is mostly made up with bending shapes would a tablet help me in anyway???

I think it's a must have. Since I have got mine I haven't used a mouse yet. It speeds up the process and ads the artists personal touch to it.

cool i like the way the ribbon flys threw the air. if a tablet definetly helps then i would like to get one i have been reading the animators survival kit and want to get a clear undastanding of animation before i start anything major though. i know this is completly different to the thread but can i just ask apart from flash do you think i should learn any other software to use for animating.
