No prob. Hope it helps. I know I should study it more too. I find that the best cartoon characters are ones done with proper folds and such, a talent I don't have.

Do a search for dapper dan, or danimation. His characters are phenominal and all the clothes are done with the fewest lines possible. Genius.

So, my advice is just that. Don't overkill your sketches with too many wrinkles and folds but study how they work into different possitions according to what your character's doing, and keep it simple. Now I'm confusing myself myself. What the hell do I know?

grab a clothing magazine? ;)

If you're having trouble designning(sp?)/animating shorts, the problem might not be folds and wrinkles (unless you're doing feature quality stuff, and have a LOT of time to spend animating that stuff). Something simple you can do to break up the mundane is to add pockets...how about a simple seam? a cuff? zipper, pattern, stain....etc.

Good Luck!

wow, that tutorial was actually very helpful!

I've always just used a kind of cell shaded thing for my clothes because whenever i try adding folds and other various lines it looks a bit cack really...

Cheers Vic!
