This is the main character design for my animated short. He is still a WIP. Let me know what you think.
Check out first pencil test in WIP - Animations section.

Looks okay.... :)
The shape of your character is quite suited, so well done.
But:
The colours-of-choice look a bit weird, I think.
The lighter brown is good,
the medium brown as a shadow is good, too
but the dark brown of the left arm (mirrorside)
doesn't fit in my opinion. o.Ô
It looks like, he has no pelt there.
And maybe you should think about something,
that make him individual
something in detail, like a colored cap,
or belt....what I know...:P

I like it, good work. If I had not read Wmic's post I would have not realized the same opinion. If he is to be the main character, I think you should pimp him out a little more. Something to make him look more special in a sense. He looks great as is, but eould easily get lost in a crowd of other characters on the screen. Give him some accessories.

You guys are right, I'm not sure what to add though. The short is set on a run down farm that has only one tree in sight so eventually he builds little machines maybe he could have like an utility belt or something. Also I would like to create more of a "fur painting technique" to the final coloring.

I think it looks really nice the way it is... clean and fairly simple.
