wierd,when i try to import an swf sequence into AE,it doesn't work,it just says sumthin like *error wrong swf format 1:2*

i think you can't import a swf file to AE in that way, but Dave (humbleego :p ) said that he made the Lucid chase by importing the animation from flash.. i have no idea how he did it, try to ask him..

turns out i have to import as a png sequence...which means mega file size :rolleyes:

you need a program to convert the swf files to an avi movie (I don't remember the program name) , in AE always appear error when you import swf

Well if you're just going to need an .avi, just convert you're movie clips to graphics and export it from flash as an .avi... it should be fine that way, rather than getting a whole new space waster (program)

Your need Quicktime (I think Pro) to import an SWF into After Effects..from version 5 to the current.
However, with the latest QT, you need to change some settings in the program.

i have the same problem and i did what that guide said with quicktime and it still doesnt work help please:(
You need a prog called Flash To Video Encoder (http://www.geovid.com/Flash_To_Video_Encoder/) in order to convert swf to avi.
