Here's my only real complete animation. I finished it in May, towards the end of my sophomore year in highschool. It's basically what I did in my spare time, trying to work around my school work. I entered it into my city's film festival and it got in. It's gonna show in a couple of weeks...
But eh. Iunno. I don't really like it. The art is awful. The figures are all misporportioned and too anime-esque for my liking. I really didn't know what I was doing. I've improved an insane amount over the summer. Now I sort of know what I'm doing...I guess. Whatever.

Anyways, http://www.lunaticcreations.com/maskanim.mov
I had to change the music for the film festival. I realized that the song I had used belonged to an actual band.

It's also on Newgrounds. http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view.php?id=239365
This one has the stolen song. The audio is from the Newgrounds Audio Portal and the guy that submitted it just stole it from the band Stratovarius.

And yeah.

ahhh yes, i've seen this before on newgrounds, very nice piece.
I love the angles you used. It's also very rough looking, but it suites the black and white, plus the blacked out parts. Huge ass sword by the way! Good job

Don't worry if you don't like it, I get that a lot too. After doing something I sometimes want to do it again cause I find it's not the best, but others love it. Best to just move on, because you'll get better even though you'll always find flaws in your own work

NOOB!

Hey TFC, yet again I'm stuck at work on my dial up and can;t view this animation til I get home. But from the replies I'm seeing it looks to be very promising. If you can do me a favor , get a 200 x 100 image of your animation so that I can add you to our features at the top of the forum. I usually do it myself but like I said I'm stuck at work :(

If you get a a chance to get me that image, PM me with a link. If you don't then I'll be sure to add you later on tonight when I get home.

Finally got my turn to watch your animation. Very nice work TFC. My favorite part is when the boy first meets the man in the mask. The way he gets him self off of the tree was done very realisticly.

i deff think the old music goes along better with it, but maybe thats because thats what i saw at first...

This is my opinion either, but...
I really think that the version with the stolen track was the better one.
The music fit more because of the dualism in the song itself, there were two different instruments playing, in the same manner as the two protaginsts act in the scenes.

TFC, I loved this thing. I'll definately enjoy your next project! (^_^)

Hey TFC,

You are too hard on yourself. I thought it was really good. The loose style suits it and gives it energy. Animation is hard work. Especially 2D. You should be proud of it. You are young and will only get better.

Suh-weeet, thirsty! NJ.
Yeah, I agree that the first version seems better. Just goes to show you that the musical artists are almost as important. No matter. It's nice to see you posting an alternate just the same. The animation is superb and I still love it!
GJ and stay at it. You've got the eye!
