Hi, all. I have a question: anybody, anytime use Genius([url]http://www.geniuseshop.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWCATS&Category=2[url].) tablet whith Macromedia Flash, if yes what problems do you come across, and how do you solve a problem, i am trying use genius tablet but if i manipulate whith any drawing tools, Flash (ver. 8 ) is very slowing down. For example corel? photoshop and Toon boom work whith this tablet correctly.
thanks!

I've never heard of that brand of tablet so the problem might just be it's brand. My non-wacom tablet didn't work so well with Flash. If there's options for your tablets set up maybe look through there and try to reconfigure it if anything looks like it might help it.

I have one of those and other than the fact that it stops working at times, until I beat the living crap out of it, it seems to work just fine. It might be your processor speed, or your RAM. If you are doing this for a living though, you might want to consider robbing a bank or developing some kind of pyramid scheme to raise the money for a Wacom tablet.

Don't forget to keep an eye out for ebay wacoms or the repackaged ones on the home site.

I'd say you're having a RAM problem. Let us know what your computer specs are.

I've got a Genius tablet aswell but it seems to work nearly ok for me. It works well with Photoshop CS2 and ToonBoom v3, except the pressure sensitivity doesnt work with ToonBoom
It also works ok with Corel IX and Flash MX2004, it just goes a bit weird sometimes and spacks out a bit every now and again with these two programs. Not sure why, I don't think it's a RAM thing 'cos I've got 2GB of it (i hear thats quite alot)

So it's probably just the make of the tablet...

yeah? it is no pressure sensitivity for toon boom, i have a Celeron 1600+, 512 of RAM and 1,5 G free space on disk C:/, 128 MB of video, anything else?
thanks for reply!

I have a genius and I find them adequate...I hate the fact that it's loud and scratchy when you draw though...the wacoms in college are so nice :( I have never had a lot of trouble of that kind, but it happens sometimes with Open Canvas and it is alway a RAM problem.

I don't know if it will work for you like it did me because my tablet isn't a genius brand. But I encountered the exact same problem.

Try Googling "Tabtip Tamer" and see if you can find that download.

I actually really used to like the genius tablets, i owned two of them but unfortuantly one of the pens i ate through (bad habit!) and the other the battery leaked, got absolutely no where with replacement pens so ordered a wacom volito , the difference is unbelievable
