At work we had a somewhat nerdy discussion, actually it was a full out nerd discussion I won't lie. All about who's the best superhero. You'd expect names like Spider-man, Wolverine or Superman to be thrown around. But litterally Gambit was the pick from 9 people! I chose Spider-man since I lived reading spiderman comics as a kid. My friend chose Batman. But ya, Gambit, a french dude who throws explosive playing cards. Sure he's alright, but the best? What's your take?

Before even opening this thread I had Gambit in mind. The all time badass card chucker, lol.

So make it Gambit X 10, btw did you guys see the GI Joe renders at cgtalk? Brings back good memories.

Guess Ive been out of the comic arena for too long now... :rolleyes:

I do have my favorite though. First and foremost is The Shadow, now he was cool! As well Ive always really liked the Green Arrow for the fact that he is just an ordinary dude, without any super powers. Plus the guy has that cool Robin Hood thing going for him! :D

In the mid 90's Marvel released a X-Men cartoon series . One of the characters was Gambit. He was pretty bad ass hero. Dressed in a trench coat and his skill was throwing playing cards.

He charges random objects with explosive energy and chucks them at people.

I mean that's just got "cool" written all over it!

Of course, you have to more specifiy the definition of "best". I mean gambit is the coolest and I like him the most, but if you specified and said "most powerful" or "best at being a good guy". Then Gambit would be far from the top.

I agree, Gambit is not the best but he definitely is the most magnificet bastard from the X crew.
