Too bad Wacom doesn't make this. They would sell like hotcakes!
Now this is as close to the Cintiq that I can afford and I wouldn't try to build my own Cintiq.
I did some more research and found out that the ink for this costs $25.
Also, too bad your work isn't saved in vector format but you could convert to vector by using Illustrator.
I wish Wacom made something like this but then they would be competing with the Cintiq.
Has anyone bought one of these and used it for flash?

The DigiMemo L2 is a stand-alone device with storage capability that digitally captures and stores everything you write or draw with ink on ordinary paper, without the use of computer and special paper. Then you can easily view, edit, organize and share your handwritten notes in Windows.
When connected to a PC, the DigiMemo L2 offers an on-line writing function which can instantly synchronize your writing on the paper with the digital page in its software in Windows. It also is a USB tablet device in Windows.

1. Take Notes
Place any ordinary paper or notepad on the digital pad. Write on the paper with the digital inking pen.
The digital pad digitally records anything you write in its built-in storage device or an optional SD card in real time.
One page you write is stored as one digital page.

2. Connect to the PC
Connect the digital pad to your PC by USB port.

Nice find. Ideally I would like something with a rechargable battery. Neat idea, though. You could do more traditional style animation and save as JPEGs! (and not be stuck at the computer all the time!). Hopefully the Cintiq will be more affordable in five years or so...

This is not as good as the deal pc mall and mac mall or was it pc connection and mac connection had last year when they were blowing out the Graphire 3's.

This offer ends today.
I tried to get used to the Graphire 3 but I think 4x5 is too small for me.
I seem to draw rather big.
When I got ready to trace some artwork that I had draw, it was too big for the 4x5 tablet.
I'm wondering when is Wacom going to come out with a 4x6 graphire?
