Hi,
I just started, on a whim, to make an animation in windows movie maker. Just for fun.
Since it turned out to be really really fun I wanna do more, but the frames go so slowly in windows movie maker!

Is there a simple programme I can use to put all the pictures together in that's free?
I had a look around, but a lot seem to be geared towards making characters and stuff inside the programme... which I don't really need for now.. I kinda just want something to string them all together and make them play with a track.

I haven't used it, but I think MonkeyJam (http://www.giantscreamingrobotmonkeys.com/monkeyjam/index.html) will do what you want. And it's FREE!!!

If you try it, let me know how it works.

yeap. if you are on PC, MonkeyJam should do the job,
import your sequence of drawings in jpg or png format,
(supposing there are all the same size),
then, if necessary, adjust the timing in the XSheet,
and export as an AVI movie.

as I don't remember exactly the size limitations for the import/export files,
so check this point before going further. :)

for $30 you could get QuickTime Pro (http://www.apple.com/quicktime/) from Apple.

You can also use the free demo version of Stopmotion Pro.
http://www.stopmotionpro.com/trial.htm

I used it when I started, some 8 months ago. Later I upgraded to the junior version, which is the cheapest they offer.

Succes!

I agree with the suggestion for Monkeyjam. It's a fantastic little program and has proved most reliable for me.
