Hi Guys,
My short was just listed at MovieFone.com
It's called Pen' Pals and is a 3D/2D hybrid. It's just over 5 minutes with credits.
Take a peek if you get a chance.

Hey Slurry, Welcome to the AF forums. Try to get me another link for that movie, I can't get it to load up. The page seems to load fine but no movie info is displayed at all, just empty boxes.

Then theres only one explanation. It must be encoded in 8Ball. Time for me to download the flash 8 player.

LOL, this is the animation that is about to break the camels back.
So I went ahead and downloaded the zip on my work pc, it took about 2 hours on this crappy dial up connection. I open it up, only to find out that I don't have the correct codec :(
Fear not, I will download this puppy when I get home, it should only take a few seconds and I will post back with my opinion.

Damn Slurry, that was well worth the trouble. I was not expecting something of this caliber. It was a great pleasure to watch, and even though the 3D models may have not been at the Pixar level, the animations and especially the addition of 2D animations was amazing.
10 ouf of 10 in my opinion. :)

This was featured on cgtalk as well. I think its amazing! What programs did you use for the 2d and 3d animations?

Hi Womball,
I used Maya for the 3D and good ol' paper and pencil for the 2D.
Two other very talented animators helped with the 2D animation:
Glenn Curry (yep, we're related)
Don Boone (my animation instructor from school - he's crazy talented!)

Whoa!... That was some good stuff Slurry. I like the mix of 3D and 2D animation in it.
Hope to see some more shorts coming from you.
10/10.
