Adult animated films

Hello Everyone,
I am doing an assignment and i wanted to do a survey of how many adults and teenagers would like to watch an adult movie in cartoon. Just like Happy Feet but adult genres such as comedy, action etc but in animated form. So here's the question. Would adults think of a film in animation? Please post a reply with your opinion and i'll come back and check the reply's. Thanks.:)

Actually, it all depends on the animation, why it was used, how it was used, and what story they were trying to tell. But, yeah, I'd be interested.

I'm not really an adult, but I know I would watch them, quality pending of course, even as an adult. I also know that there are plenty of adults who watch them. It's why there's an entire industry geared at releasing animated films of the adult genre.

So yes, my meaningless vote is yes.

I yearn for the day when there is a serious North American market for Adult Animation. The cartoons I make are only for adults. So the answer is "yes".

Well I know I like to watch a good adult orientated animated film. Most, though, are usually anime (which is fine, cause I like anime), but it would be good if there were more animated films out there on a more diverse scale. I have to admit, there would be a market out there for em. I mean take a look at Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children - that's a great film, but with a story that most children would find hard to follow (well, with the dialogue atleast). But it shows what's possible - and the possibilities are great :). Japan is a real leader in this kind of area, cause they produce alot of animated works like that - and to them, animation isn't something that only children enjoy.

Thanks to anyone who posted a reply, it is good to know that there are some people out there that would be interested in movies made in animation. My assignment is almost due and it was good to get an insight from interested people and to see that there would be market out there for it. And for the record, i watched Heavy Metal, thanks ElusiveMoose. Ok then, thanks again, bye bye;)
