Things to know:
Hey, this project is called "The Chronicles of Papyrus". There is a certain style I will require. http://voicetalents.proboards92.com/index.cgi?board=producer&action=display&thread=1169764354
If you can replicate this style (or replicate it as much as you can) then you've got the job!
Story:
For every drawing that is created, a world that matches is as well. In this story this guy named Leon has the ability to bring his drawings to life...well he doesn't know about it, but thats besides the point! He draws up a hero and he comes to life. However this hero has a very strange past. The world that the "hero" is from is being taken over by - you guessed it - darkness.
In order for the hero to had travel to Leon's world, he had to sacrifice his body. When he arrived it (his physical body) had to be replaced, it was replaced with the last thing that Leon drew.
yah, its vauge but if you seem to have the slightest intrest and you can animate/draw on the level and style needed, then email me at lonestarrunner@hotmail.com and I'll send yo the script itself. Its going to be a humorous series, with a serious storyline. So I hope to get in touch with everybody soon! Thanks for your time!

The Truman Show was humourous with a serious storyline. As is Igby Goes Down, and many others. I think he just means that people are gunna have sticks up their ass the whole time where they act so unrealistically intense.

I think he means is the usual anime humor where the main plot is serious yet as time goes by there are scenes where something crazy happens or some character acts stupid.

Actually, concidering this looks to be pretty generic anime fare, I'm pretty sure BrioCyrain hit the mark more closely. As in the characters/plot will be serious at a lot of times, but then erratic switches to non-serious scenes which interject at unexpected moments to generate humor. Along the lines of animes such as Trigun or Bleach (or BoBoBo if you stretch the concept to an unrelenting farcical point). It's an easy to impliment style of writing yet it almost never fails to entertain.
Good luck finding people to sign up. Although it will be tough because it looks to require a bit of effort, and you aren't presenting the qualities of your idea that would warrant people to put their time/energy into your project over their own (hopefully you have some right?).
I have thought of an idea to get people more likely to sign on (if I have a project that's phesable only with a dedicated team, I'll probably end up using it myself). Maybe if you offered in exchange for their help, you agree to give them some creative control over how the show is developed and/or how it moves forward. Basically make anyone who agrees to animate for you an assistant director aswell. When people work with you instead of for you, and become more creativley attached to the project (a.k.a. the project becomes more "theirs"), they should be more motivated to do the work needed to finish it. (at least that's the theory, I have yet to test it)

Evil Demon, thats a good idea, though I have the first couple of episodes written I will give some creative freedom for the rest as long as it follows the "skeleton" of the story. Oh and its not generic humor...well some of it is, but this is more like crazy-go-nuts humor. Like there is this scene where this "healer" is asked by an old lady to be healed, well he starts chanting "Whats that sister? I smell healin, I taste healin, I feel healin....Be healed!" then he punches her in the face, and while she's knocked out he slips a special medicine to "heal" her. (because he is a doctor who had his license revoked, so he switched to "faith healing"
This project will be worth your while, you just need to give it a chance, if you post or pm your email adress whoever thats interested, then I'll send you the script and if you choose to accept and see some stuff in there you don't like by all means change it but run it by me first. Like I said earlier - as long as the basic skeleton of the story is left in contact. ^_^ thanks for your time.
Did I mention that I will pay the animator around $300-$500, I know its not much but its something

I cannot emphasize this enough, but: I freaking hate the anime invasion. If you don't live in Asia, don't do it, damn it!!

Wow, noticed the red text... I'm suprised you are devoted to this project to pour that kind of money into it. Yeah concidering the amount of work it's far from an excessive amount, but the fact you'd still put that much into it gives sight of your desire to see this through.
It's a good quality to express since most projects of this nature usually lose momentum/motivation and fade away.

I'm interested, although I have a few demands. I insist on working for free, plus, I want to animate for months based on other people's ideas. I do voices and sound effects but I know you can expect me to put all that aside so you can provide all that fancy stuff, and that's fine.
Oh, and if anyone has an idea for a best selling novel, I'm willing to type it all out and put the author's name in big fancy letters.
Action script? I can add eqautions that'll make you look like a genius just for coming up with the idea. Anything you need.
The best move you can make to promote your original, ground-breaking project, is to hit the forums and all members should be willing to jump in at the drop of a hat to help you out. all for for free! We need the exposure and the free credits.
I'm in!!!!!
