I'm also new to the forum, I'm in school for animation. Preferably 3d animation, but I would like to work in 2d as well. I do know how to animate traditionally, and my sophmore final was done in Cel paints (love them, but expensive), guache, and shot on a 16 mm color negative on an oxberry. Now I'm working on my junior project, and not sure if I should use a program like Mirage, Tab or Toon Boom Studio for overall editing. I am still going to hand draw every frame on paper, like to be tedious, and scan or photograph them into a program. :D

You came to the right place, there are alot of us here that have a thing for traditional methods in animation! You should fit in great! Looking forward to seeing some of your work. ;)

I dunno what I like better yet. So far I'm more talented at 3d modeling if I use blender 2.3. But I can probably animate much better in 2d hand animation. I can just use a light table, and trace and make minute changes there. Has a nice fluid look to it. I have tried 2d computer animation yet, just basically used premier to sequence my works. My current work is about talking fish, I'm at the hardest point, the idea stage. I have been revising this idea like crazy, and so far no response from my classes, which is very disheartening. I hope this one gets at least one laugh, than I will be happy. :-) And will start the fun part, creating a final storyboard and drawing and pencil test stage!
