Hey my fellow Toon Bom users, I gots to ask you all a few simple questions regarding the software. As I stated in my Flash Mx post , a few of us will be working on some components extensions for Flash as well as some libraries. I was wondering how the library and component system works in Toom Boom. From what I know about flash it shoul be similar since you can do a direct import of a *.TBA file into Flash.
So is there a Library in TB.
Are there components in TB.
Are there custom plugins in TB, if not, is there a possibility for a custom plug in.
I figured since we're working in Flash it would be ice to have some libraries available for Toon Boom. Let me know about the similarities.

Not really sure that I CAN help this much but From what I remember:
Yes, TBS have a Library (it's a very importent part of the software)
I know that TBS identifies libraries with the extension TBC.
components in TBS... I don't think so (I may be wrong... )
Well, there is that plugin that came with TBS, that is actually for macromedia flash, it let you import your TBS files into your stage, so you can keep work from there, basicly it made so you can add interactivity to your movies.
Hope that it helped a lil' bit, I'm sure that more up to date users can help this...

in my version, (v 2.5)
Theres a Library, no components or plug ins unfortunately.
You can export your movies as a s.wf though which is very handy as you can then submit it to newgrounds etc... and loads of people can see your lovely animation.

I got another noobish question but really what's the difference between Studio and Express. I don't want to shell out the 400 (320 discounted) if I'm not comfortable with the software. With 100 (80) i'm much more comfortable with.
So yea my basic question is just what's the difference?

dlpwillywonka, here's the features page of TBS Express, it compares Studio and Studio Express: http://www.toonboom.com/products/toonBoomStudioExpress/features.php

The biggest difference is that TBS has unlimitted "pegs" and TBS Express only allows you a maximum of 2 (two) "pegs". Pegs are the elements that are used in TB to key frame your other elements over time. So although you can do basic drawn animation in TBS Express you can't do "cut out animation" or any automated tweening so it's very limited.
