Hey guys,
Im making a little experiment now using a new method (which probably isnt new, but it is to me :P) like the title says it isnt finished, only done the first two "stages". Which are the bounce and the rough smoke trail.

I'll add more later, got stuff to do though :/

(I'll probably use this thread for my other trash, to save spamming the forum :) )

It looks very good, although I'm interested in how your new method compares to your old method. The bounce and especially the flames have a very natural motion to them . 2 Thumbs up.

dito to terro: how the new can be compared to the old?

like the effect :)

well, umm my new method is rather the way I work rather than how I create what I make. I divide each peice of the overall thing into seperate tasks. Makes it easier to edit etc..

like I said probably isnt a new concept, but its the first time Ive used it lol :D

do u mean adding keyframes instead of straight ahead animation?

Sharlston

not really, I just break everything into sections.

so its in my head basically, its still straight ahead, but just a little more organised.

I re-did the smoke trial, I think there needs to be more smoke on the right hand side, and maybe some better dissipation but erm.... meh.

thoughts please.

It's looking real good. Try taking out the last frame where we can still see the outline of the bunny hitting the wall and replace it with the boom. Right now it looks like the explosion is coming on a second too late.

I did the initial sketch in Flash (dunno why, cleaner lines I guess), and I did all the colouring in PS mainly cos its easier :)

glad you like.

(crits appreciated btw)

edit: slight update, I'll lighten up the trees to make them more visible. I was trying to emphasise on the moss but... meh.
