Please title the subject "Animation" otherwise I won't read it. My website is http://www.animationsoftwarereviews.blogspot.com
I'll give you credit for the review if you want.

For hand drawn animation, I have used a program series from Celsys. The package consists of
1. Traceman :after filming your drawings you can batch trace them all, leaving the outline ready for coloring. Each drawing gets two sets of lines, one for paint in Paintman, the other is your original "pretty" line(who is placed on top of the fill line). You can also choose which color the outlines should have and that is pretty cool:-)
2. Paintman : Import your drawings after their visit in Traceman and paint them. Has neat features like batch fill and replace color
3. Core : this is where you write your exposure sheets and import the finished painted drawings for rendering. After filling in your numbers and import the files, they get lined up in correct order and you can render.

Mirage haven't been updated since 2004 ... :(, I would recommand you to try its successor
TVPaint Animation pro (http://www.tvpaint.com/index.php?option=com_frontpage&Itemid=1), you will get some interesting new features there,
such as a rotative virtual disk, XSheet layers, Instances engine, lot of drawing tools improvements
... and much more (http://www.tvpaint.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=89&Itemid=78) !
oh I forgot to add : it's frequently updated (last release = v8.5.6, 2007-08-06),
and it supports macIntel (Universal Binary)! ;)
regarding the 2D animation softwares list, apart TVPaint Animation products,
(TVPA and TVPA pro), which are "all-in-one" products, are also missing some others :
Animo, Toonka's Ktoon (linux), CelAction, Dogwaffle, Animation Stand, CreaToon (cut-out), Gimp+GAP, Pegs (now acquired by ToonBoon), The TAB ...
in the PencilTest family : Crater's CTP, Ernest, Take2 (Amiga),Take5 (PC), TOKI LineTest, TapToons, MonkeyJam (freeware) ...
and the Stop-Motion family : ... maybe later ... :)
I hate sites like that TVP one where you WANT to find out the cost of their product, but they don't want to tell you.

agreed, their site needs definitively a serious clean-up!
it's very hard to go straightforwardly where you want to go ...
you can find their prices (in euros) on their "online store" page (http://www.tvpaint.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=97&Itemid=77) :)
