I see we've been slowely getting new registrations in.
Welcome to The Animation Forum, and bare with us as we prepare for launch on August 7th. We still have a few bugs to fix as well forums to tweak.

One of the main issues is the Flash Embed Tag in the reply box, currently it will format all your movies to 550 X 400. We'll be adding more Flash tags, with different movie sizes to fit your need.

Please use this thread to let us know what is the usual movie zise that you work with, we'll use the data to create the flash tags.

For example, I mostly work at (600X300)

Keep up the good working ! :)

I usually work at 550 x 400... but I just tried 600 x 400 and I like that... gives it more of a thearter feel.

Ok well go with even numbers for the time being. I'll add new embed tags for 600 X 400 and 720 x 540. I'll posdt back with the legend when the changes are made.

I know this thread is ancient, but um... 640x480 is the ntsc standard for broadcast, its a no brainer to use it. Video and TV are 30fps (ntsc), but i prefer 24fps, the classic animation and film time, its how i was trained and what almost all major productions use. *yeah, i'm a know it all :D*

I like working at 810 by 500. that's like 1 pixel off from a perfect golden ratio rectangle, which I like because they are the most asthetically pleasing.

for me, i always work at 640x480, 15 FPS.

I also make Brickfilms (stop motion with legos), and i film at exactly the same as for my other animation.

I animate at 20 frames per second and 720x512 if I just doing something for fun. If it's an "epic" project or something for a collab or school or what have you, I either use 24 or 29/30 fps and 720x540.
