i was curious what program would be recommended for making like a soft digitized female voice? Also be able to make a second sound of metal clinging together, almost like metal fabrication?

Audacity is great for adding effects to your sound files and has options for downloading even more effects. Play around with it.

Or you can try this (http://www.audio4fun.com/voice-changer-software-features/voice-changing.htm). It has a free trial.

I think you can get what you're looking for, hopefully.

I agree that Audacity is great for that. Just record, select the part (click and drag), and change it to a higher pitch. Add some reverberation and there you go. Of course, there are specific filters. There's probably one called "roboty female voicy changy filter" or something like that. Best of all, audacity is opensource, so it won't cost you a dime.
