Hello, I am trying to start an online animation studio.
Right now its only me, but I am serious about doing something big.

Here are 2 very bad roughs I did and am currently working on. Might need to let them run for awhile before watching since there is no preloader.

I just want a team to make good shorts like this http://www.gobelins.fr/galerie/animation/gen2007-01-Arche.htm
or this http://www.gobelins.fr/galerie/anim...-04-Chronos.htm

Some positions would be
*key animator, or inbetween*
*Character colorist (color the line art)
*inker (tracer over lines in flash using pencil tool not paintbrush)
*Background colorist
*story board or storyreel artist ( in flash)
*Writer*

The animation ( can be drawn with anything, including paper) would be inked and colored in flash or toonboom and brought into aftereffects if we decide to do so for visual effects.

I want to make good cartoons (not flash looking cartoons) starting off with good 1-2 minutes shorts just showing what we can do like in the animation studio I showed above, and if anyone is interested in helping me let me know.

Thanks a lot,

-Corey

Well, I may join as key animator or background designer, I am a bit busy but I think I could contribute with no problems.

I saw your SKY animation one, and it TOTALLY grabed my attention, really ace stuff.
My level is around yours, so there would be no problem working with you, really neat stuff I must say.

Is there another way I can contact you?

My contact info is at the bottom of the page :)

I'd be interested in providing some music, if you needed any.

First of all, I want to say that you're a great storyteller.

Okay.
Actually I had this exact same idea a few weeks ago, on vacation. An online team of passionate animators. (At least, I think that's what's on your mind too) Sadly, after the vacation I completely forgot about it.

Here's an animation I did just yesterday, for the heck of trying out my new portable animation desk. http://AkiraShimada.deviantart.com/art/Is-it-a-sack-FINAL-64490553 Animated traditionally, inked traditionally, scanned and vectorized in ToonBoom Studio Express 3. It's a bit wobbly because I forgot to adjust the guides on the Automatic Document Feeder. :o

I can do pretty much everything on that list. Honestly I have never really tried painting backgrounds. I can design them, do the layouts, even colorschemes, but I think it's best to leave painting up to someone else. ;)

How much time would you want this team to spend on a one-minute short? I can do six seconds of completely finished traditional animation in one weekend, and on week-days I usually manage to do one stage a day (one day of keys and extremes, one day of breakdowns, one day of tweening, one day of clean-up and ink, one day of coloring and compositing), so twelve seconds a week.

Oh, and I do music! http://www.freewebtown.com/rageartworks/testingzehmovie.mp3 is an example of film-ish music.

Let me know when we start. ;)
