Sound Wont Work In After Effects

so i get after effects and sound dont work on any movie files i import, i even imported a wav still didnt work

i tried reinstalling, didnt work

this is a problem others have had too, anyone know how to fix? my speakers work fine for everything else i do such as winamp, adobe flash files etc

Are you saying you can't hear any audio after you Export a movie? Or are you having issues hearing the audio while doing a ram render in the timeline?

Let me know which one, I might have an idea.
