Thnx for the warm welcome.
Nah you're thinking of the guys across the road to us (Bournemouth University). It's a bit confusing I know cause actually we've both gone high profile now. The uni is really training technical engineers though as apposed to animators. The AIB is more focussed on the animation/design side of things and we have a 3d dept too. Although most ppl stick to 2d or integrated cg anyway :p.
I'd also recommend Ravensbourne for animation if you're planning to stay in the UK.
If there's anything ya wanna know about the AIB feel free to ask <3.

o yea sure thing. They kind of prefer it if you've done a foundation before signing up but if you can show a kind of broadness before starting they're more willing to take you on without one. But if you havn't got a foundation year they tend to tell you to do one for some reason (god knows why). I got in without a foundation on acount of the fact I'd done a 2 year btec which technicaly qualfied as foundation included (god knows why). They like to see evidence of good life drawing and observational skills over most other things and some degree of intelectual interest in a medium (be it film animation or art etc). But it's important that you don't get ahead of yourself I think.I've seen alot of guys take the interview stand that kinda sound like they think they know it all already O_o and that is a huge turn off. Like sure sell yourself but some ppl make it sound like there doing the course a favour by signing on and you can just see the tutors face cringe when they do ><. Also they will ask you to draw somthign on the spot from imagination so good to prep for that too.

not that I know of. I think somtimes they interview in 2's but the interviews I see going on are usualy 1 or 2 tutors to a person. Unless they've introduced some new element O_o which could be the case I dunno.

(sanfroid?)
Hey, Sangfroid. I'm almost too new to welcome you but I will anyway. ('ey welcome, mate!) If I didn't know anyone here I might hesitate a wee bit but as it turns out my own intro post drew out several ppl whom I'm already familiar with. And a good bunch too, I might add! (The only one I wasn't too sure of was this "Terro" guy but the others vouched for 'im and he seems ok.) ;)
Thanks for sharing your animation with us! I was enthralled by the movement and flow but the artwork and style also stood out as being remarkable. Usually the last thing I notice is the storyline and that also shines through on the verge of brilliance! You just know that there's more to discover and you anxiously await it. GJ!
The stills you showed are also great, my fave being the bridge pic. Not just a snapshot of some olde bridge but also a feeling of intrigue and mystery cut from the pages of another place and time. (I see an armoured face glaring back at me in that pic. Very cool!)
Anyway, very nice work and thanks again for sharing with us. I (we) hope you enjoy stopping by here and make it among your regular places to visit and relax.
Cheers!

Welcome, Sangfroid. :)
Your animation on Newgrounds is good, like it. The style and design remembers me of FinalFantasy. Not only the music and the menu, even the complex storyline makes me feel playing one of the games. :D
I like the idea which stands behind the protagonist. He/She/It reminds me of a chicken ("the nest", "the eggs" etc.). It's fresh and differtent, so I love it.
Maybe I am totally wrong with my point of view, but I'm glad to have you here.
greetings
