Lovely work Bendragon. My favorite has to be the Columbus Cabin , it has great mood and lighting. Wonderful choice in colors.
NOOB!

hey man,nice work.
The reason i said the toymaker one looked the best,is because its the only one i can see working in an animation. In the toy maker one the objects feel "alive".the others have a certain flat qaulity to them, where i can't image a character in the environment.Looking more like concept painting than layout.I can tell you where in concept mode, the fact that you added the candle flame in the cabin layout.
I felt this same issue on tori's film in the end, where they looked great as stills ,but didn't quite work in animation. As if instead of the character interacting with the environment,it was just walking infront of a painting.
Looking foward to ur new stuff;)

Cheers guys. Yeah most of them are done without thought to where the animation could be. Got a chance to set that right with the layouts for next term! More to come...
Hey Bendragon, really nice backgrounds! i liked a lot, and i desagree with Noob ( i know is a matter of taste :D) but i think the other BG can work in animation, in an other style than cartoonish style (like toy maker) and example of that is the Petrovīs work that you kindly posted, an animation in a impressionist painting style. Again nice work ! :)

Oooh, impressive! I really like where you were going with the colour in the first one especially.

Specially love the backgrounds, they are gr8!
VERY nice. I really like that sort of painterly style and am glad to see people are still doing it.
WoW. How did I miss this one? Well what can I say it's simply marvellous!!
