Hi,

I am the author of the free program Beneton Movie GIF. The latest version is 1.1.1. It can create and modify animations, create images and banners, apply cool effects and edit frames individually. Below is a more complete description.

Beneton Movie GIF is a complete GIF editing tool. Either beginners or advanced users will find an utility to this simple and effective program. BMG supports 48 file formats, such as BMP, GIF, JPG, and PNG. Use drag-and-drop to move frames quickly. Multiple frames selecting makes it easy to delete, copy, cut, paste, or move a part of your animation. Many different effects such as rotate, distortion and transition offer you many options to get the results you want in only a few clicks. Some rare but useful features are also included: you can save and load a batch of single-frame files (frame1.bmp, frame2.bmp). Finally, built-in image editors offer you to easily edit your frames with many tools (pencil, shapes, airbrush, alpha brush, fill, selection, text, onionskin, and others).

Hi. I used to use the 12 version when I started making icons like this one http://userpic.livejournal.com/61484741/8961018 , but I did find the frames kind of shook and the pictures were a bit blurry (as you can see – my icon pulsates), which was fine on this one but not on others. I did upgrade to 13, but with equal results. I don’t have it now since I re-formatted my hard drive. I found 12 more user friendly than 13 for some reason that I’ve forgotten. When I was learning to make icons, I thought if was a pretty nifty programme to start with.
