Xav I love the ball, THEY ARE NOT CRAP!!!!!!! Your full of crap if you think so, LOL. Awsome work.
The french girl is cute, the walk can still use a little more body movement. Her body and head should move up and down with each step shes taking, that would tie it all together.
The other animation of her , when she turns her head is very solid. I like it a lot.
hahaahah
thanks for the advices BUT, where are YOUR first/crap files? :D
lol

I also liked the Glowing Ball and the French Girl, I don't think I'm in a level to say it's crap or not, because my first stuff were real crap, here is my very first Run Cycle (Anime Style) I used the first time the Anime style so it looks real weird.

hey kayoto,in flash under the modify scroll down menu at the top of the screen, use the smooth or optimize features to make ur line smoother.
but this isn't ur recent work so i dunno how u are with that now.
interesting u mention *my style* cos i don't really have one,the one thing i hate about anime and disney and every other cartoon,is they feel every character has to have a certain drawing style, why is that?
if u look outside, not everyone looks the same,so i think variety in faces and everything else, is the key to success, its never realy been done before.
i probably won't have anything regarding my workflow until after i've finished my first movie kayoto, which probably won't be for a while.i'll try though soon.

The smooth tool isn't good in the current flash becuse there is no Minimum/Maximum control of it (like in TBS) so I don't use the brush tool for now... I'm trying the Pencil tool, very Hard to draw with (unlike the brush) but it keeps a nice outline, and great way to edit.
about what you said I feel the same but I found out that if you do many "styles" as you said, for example I really inspired from Akira Toryama's style but still mixed up my own ideas into it, I'm also inspired from other stuff for example my old stuff were very "SPUMCO" style (Ren & Stimpy like) ...and imagine mixed between anime and spumco... I don't really see it works... that's the reason I like to stick into 1 style per production, for example I can work on Anime Series (what I do now for a Pilot) but when I'll done I'll do other style for different style, it is not a RULE it's just make sence for me, I still Agree with you but... I always look from the side of the Audience too, and Confused them with storyline is better then with visual issues. <= of course it's only my opinion, I'm not saying that I'm right or wrong.
I would love to see any WIP or read about it from you on your movie sound very exciting.

Thats great work Kayoto, you have that Dragon Ball Z style !! Very nice. BTW, did Jaki say that he uses flash 4 for all his animations, because the lines are perfect?
I think you can pick up flash 4 for like 20 dollars these days, plus doesnt the older Swish use Flash 4 engine?

Thanks Terro, yeah one of my favorit styles is Akira Toryama's style I just learned a lot by explore his style.
about Flash 4, that may be true for the MAC somehow the control in the PC version (yeah.. even with the the Cintiq believe it or not) ...somehow sucks !
and I did try it, MX 2004 have the best results and flash 4 is very slow when it comes to real-time draw compare the latest version.
well... for now.. the best Draw tools I've experience with the Cintiq (or any other wacom) is TBS ! just amazing, I love the control.
Hope 8BALL (Flash 8) will have better control on the draw tools (pencil tool and Brush) ...if not I will be disapointed big time.

will do :D, in a way it is kinda sorta crap cus his jumping backward looks a little off and his landing is just him being squashed and unsquashed rather than actually getting up

Wait??? I'm a little confused Nelson. I'm sure I seen a finished version of this animation. Are you the author of the original? Or are you trying to recreate the movement? Someone let me know whats going on, haha.
Either way it's amazing work. Ohhh and Welcome to AF buddy :)
