I don't know how different the CS3 versions are from their predecessors, but you should be able to export flash as a series of image files (usually *.tga) and import them to AE as an image sequence.
Best check the respective program help files on how to do this.

There is a way to get the paths from flash to AE but it is janky to say the least....you have to export your vector curves as an AI file. Open them open in adobe illustrator and then select your curves in illustrator and then go Edit > Copy...then in AE you select the layer you want the curves on and go Edit > Paste... This will import them as paths...if your looking at using after effects for compositing your backgrounds and "cheating" a little on animating...I would recommend doing your flash animation with a green backgroound and exporting to a quicktime-mov with the Animation codec. You can import that into AE and then use the color key effect to take away the background. A png seqence is also good because pngs should matte-out the alpha channel so you dont have to apply a color key.

The best way to get flash onto AE is to animate a biography and contact Bill Curtis. You should.....oh wait, crap, you meant After Effects. Sorry, I thought you meant A&E. :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D
