Here are two very short animations(about 12 or 16 frames) which I did....It uh...well I guess it's ok for someone who never been trained in animation. :( *sighs*

Looking good.

I like the second one. For the lion one I would do more frames from where he turns to make it more smooth and less jumpy.
:Blahblahb

NOOB!

so the fact that your doin it traditionally is an even greater achievement!!

that animation looks great, looks quite smooth, but i haven't achieved the animators eye yet,so i can't give you any strong crits, just keep at it.

what frame rate is this??

whoa trying it ye olde fashioned eh? looking pretty good, ur consistency is pretty good too, but when the man's head goes down, ur eye line shud go down aswell, becuase his head cant stare straight ahead while going down, i wud suggest making longer tests, to complete the action ur goin for. great stuff expecially for someone new to it.

12.5 I think.

Thanks for the tips :) I will work on the Lion and add more frames as for the second one I lost the papers so I would have to do that over .:(
Yea I'm more comfortable with a pencil and paper. (dosen't know how to use flash that well, lol) I also have more animations it might be a while before I post them.(I got to scan all the drawings onto my computer :( )

For the turn make sure you give the guy a much greater arch. At the mid point of the turn the head should be lower. It looks kind of like he is attached to a windshield wiper. I like the second one but it does look like he is stapled into place (got to get that torso moving, looks like your just retracing the body (i have made this mistake so many times!) Don't get too lax and redraw the body all the time, you have to make sure you know what its doing at all times. Act it out. I have been discovering latelly that a mirrors are awesome for animation, I need to get some more. Also you may want to buy some stikfa toys and pose them for your animations. I haven't started using them for posing yet since my current animation is mainly about fish (a fish stikfa would be awesome though, I love working with reference).

I was browsing my computer when I happen to find this 2 second animation of a 1 min. animation short called "Wolfen Wars" which I did awhile back, I some how deleted the full version of it :Xead: So enjoy the first 2 seconds of it. :(
The animation is pretty flawed, very flawed....:o ,it was all done in Photoshop 7.0 here it is:

But don't worry I'm working on another short, an 1 min anime opening, for my game idea :) I will post some more character designs soon. (In the "Animation Concepts and Illustration" forum > Neo Crisis' Character Designs)
