I have been working on this fish in Blender 2.37. Its a 3d version of the fish for my current 2d hand animation I am working on. I will animate it in blender 2.40 since it has much better animation updates and I will get to teach myself lip sync and facial animation for fun. I will be getting a wacom intuos 3 tomorrow so I will be able to add textures soon.
BTW I haven't uploaded the latest tweak render I did, I got the polygons completely smoothed via removing Radiosity. Didn't really change the render that much.

looks great man,i can't really crit on 3d,but i can say the overall design looks like a piece of clay with fins, both in the 2d and 3d version,i think the design could be allot more appealing, but thats just my opinion.

Not sure if he is the most likeable character though, in my 2d animation he is a showoff.

Hm, he doesn't look out like a showoff. He's rather like the nice and naive hero :D
But I like the model, can't wait to see it animated. Keep it up.

dito :) since "Wallace and Gromit" I enjoy watching clay animation, but never got used to it (because I prefer drawing)

Ah, no, I meant 3D model. It's not clay, just looks out like clay. :p

Hah, it looks cool, but I'm not too fond of the texture though... Doesn't look so fish-y. :D How about trying UV maps?
*sighs* I wish my teeth were as perfect as his... :D

I was going to mess with UV maps later on. Not sure what type of scales I should go for.

I agree Ele, u wen't a little overboard with the texture. It shouldn't draw so much attention to itself. Look forward to seeing more tho. :Blahblahb
