I'm looking for a good program for a Mac.
Digicel's Flip book looks nice.
I'm reserching plastic animation paper. (They seem to be working on a Mac version)
Frame thief, monkey jam, and anything thats PC only is out.
Has anyone used or know much about QuickChecker 2.0
And if you do how much difference is there between the Standard and EX versions?

Right now I'm checking out Tweenmaker. It seems a lot like Toon Boom but with the bones feature of Anime Studio. There is a Mac version and trial downloads. The full version costs $55 which is very reasonable.

Hey Herb, hows it going.
How do you like tween so far?
The Dud and the "how dare you sir" animation they have on display don't really impress me, but Blue and the turtle are nice. If those are exaples of what this software can do then I might give it a try.
I would like to be able to edit the animation files in a seperate program though. It can't export to quicktime files.
Can Final cut express do animation? (Just wondering)

The full version should export to Quicktime on the Mac while it exports to SWF on the PC version. Both should also export to EPF files. Or am I thinking about another porgram. Read on what they discuss on the forums about the program. Haven't fully tried it yet, been busy with other things. But I do plan on using it to produce animation by scanning my pencils and inking with Tweenmaker. The bones part allows you to add more control over already inked vectors. I don't have Final Cut. The other animation programs I have are Toon Boom Studio, Anime Studio Pro and Tapptoons. Tweenmaker does have a simpler interface for making vector based animations.
The other program I'm thinking about is Pencil which a basic animation program for the Mac and PC. It's free.

It's so easy to get wrapped up in hardware and software and forget the real reason for all our efforts. To create animation. So feed your creative muse and all the rest will fall into place.
