Has anyone ever dealt with this? I have a swf that begins with an empty scene (one layer; one empty keyframe on frame 1 followed by 30 empty frames) followed by a large scene.
Upon export, it says my first frame (the empty one) is 60KB?!?!? :banghead
Any ideas?
Thanks...

It mus be some sort of a bug caused by the empty key frame. Try placing something on that keyframe, just make it the same color as the background. Maybe then the compression will kick in. 60kb isn't a lot, similar to a small jpg, but still a lot for a empty flash frame.

I wouldn't doubt it's a bug, just not that bug...
The reason I'm at this stage (with an empty frame) is that I started with a preloader in that first scene. When the first frame came up as 60KB, I started to delete things to see what was so big. Even with everything gone, the 60KB first frame remained. :banghead

Fixed! Definitely a bug.
On a whim, I copied all the frames in my entire animation and pasted them into a brand spankin' new fla. Put my preloader scene in at the beginning. And the first frame comes in at 11KB!!! :D
That was just annoying....
