New to Animating

Ok I am new to this whole animating thing, my friend gave me his copy of Toon Boom studio 4 after he started using Anime Studio or something like that, anyway I want to animate some comedy sketches but all I have to draw with is my mouse lol, I am using the toon boom smooth tool at max lvl which seems to help but I was wondering, is there any tips or tricks to make a minimalist style look good, or any tips for drawing with a mouse.....thanks

Use the polyline tool maybe.
Else get a tablet(I guess you want :) ). Or you could try draw sketches on paper first and scan/take photos and then draw over them in toonboom or let toonboom trace/make vector of them.
