Hello!
I'm a music technology student that's been given a sound-to-video project to do. There are basically no restrictions to what I've got to do and I'd really like to try and create a soundtrack (foley, effects and music if needed) to a short animation (around 3 minutes but flexible). I'm looking for some footage out there that is already in a completed state (at least visually) that you don't mind sharing just for art's sake. I don't want to commit to helping finish a project that is a current WIP as I can't say for sure that a) my contribution will be what you want, and b) that I'll be finished in time, because I'm still in the early phase of learning about these things.

Although I've had little experience with animation, I hold Salad Fingers (and some other stuff by David Firth of fat-pie.com), A Scanner Darkly and Waking Life in very high regard. Recently, I've been getting amazed by work by Bruce Bickford (brought to my attention by Frank Zappa DVDs).

I appreciate the darker, sometimes surreal, sometimes funny sides of art so my ideal project would be something that reflects this. So if you've got something like that knocking about on your hard drive somewhere, I'd love to hear from you. I've subscribed to this topic and will probably lurk in the forum for a while so if you want to get in touch please either reply here, PM me or email luke [AT] mcquades [D0T] co [D0T] uk

It may seem like I'm asking for a free handout - I am, but if the right project comes along I'm really looking forward to working on it, and in the future I may be able to give a little back :-)

P.S. I'm from York, UK

I actually do have an idea I wanted to animate that you'd probably like, based off a dream a freind told me about. Although it's not fully planned out, if I ever want to actualize it, I'll be sure to let you know!

I am working on an animated series and am actually looking for help on the soundtrack. Here is the pilot we did last month:

I did the soundtrack on Digital Performer but don't really want to do it again. let me know if you would be interested.

Thanks
