Evoia Carrara

I thought of buying Evoia Carrara Studio Basics 2.0 or Evoia Carrara 4Pro to use as a 3D animation software choice however I still want to be able to create cel-shaded animation in addition to 3D later and I wanted to use either of them to practice modeling and animation in 3D?

Has anyone ever used or purchased the software I wanna know if this software is any good?

I thought Carrara is now owned by DAZ 3D? I just purchased Carrara 6 Pro from them. I did hear that Carrara 5 will be available for free on the CD distributed with the 3D World magazine in February.

Update - It's confirmed, a full version of Carrara 5 is on the CD being distributed with issue #100 of 3D World magazine. The magazine is out now in the UK it should be here this week. I usually find my issues at Microcenter but you can also order them from the magazine's website:
