I probably won't ever get used to a graphics tablet but here is my question.
What do you use to ink your drawings?
I currently use a papermate felt tip pen.
I think it has a normal tip.
Should I be using something else so that my scanned drawings look smoother when they are scanned?
I'm scanning at 300 dpi.

I use Staedtler pigment liners in a variety of sizes (from 03 up to 08 usually). For the smoothness, I dunno, you could either scan it higher (like at 600dpi) and reduce it down to 300 again, or just watch your levels and contrast when you're adjusting the scanned picture.

If you want something crisp and clean and find it difficult with the tablet, try this tut out (http://www.pensnpixels.com/digink.htm), using the mouse and the pen tool. I find it easier to use the brush tool and my tablet instead of the pen tool and mouse, but... whatever takes yer fancy really.
