I got picked for jury duty on a murder case yesterday, so I'm saying goodbye to you fine folks for at least a week till when the case hopefully concludes.

awww, sucks :(. I got out of my last jury duty call because well I was in bournemouth doing my degree (it was in london) so i had to wright some big ass letter prooving i couldn't make it. Watch Lars Von Tiers Dancer in the dark before you go ;) (staring bjork).

haha i was called for jury duty last yr, i threw it out, then got a second notice. I forgot about it, think they ditched me. Meh

Ok, I'm back and safe.... so far. It was a pretty interesting experiance I must say. To make the long story short, we all found the guy guilty after about 4 hours of deliberation. He didn't take it lightly thogh and made a huge scene in court, cussing us out as well as the victims family. I'm glad I experianced it once but I'd never want to do it again.

what was the scentance? not the death penalty i hope O_o.

They are sentencing him this week but the judge took us back to his room after we gave the verdict and told us that we would be getting maximum life ( which is 25 + 55 in Chicago) plus an additional 25 years because he used a hand gun. Some sort of a new law in Illinois.
