Havn't done any proper animation in a long while. Felt good to sit down and just work on somthing. I'm soooo bloody sick of 3d it's killing me ;_;. I'm a bloody 2d animator i dunno how the hell i ended up on this 3d film. Anyway like i said i'm out of practice but feels good to be learning again :D.
*update*. At the time i had ppl asking for a cleaned up verssion of this, I figgured it woul dbe good to have somthing done for portfolio work so I went throughit last night and night before.
Havn't put a shadow layer in yet but I do intent to at some point.

Wow, Sang. That looks sick as hell (in a good sense) I love the natural flow to his walk cycle. He reminds me of those old school executioners. Great work.

Nice. I really dig the design and the fluid motion of his hair (or whatever it may be).
Now, how about some clean-up and colour?

Wow, now i'm gunna sounds like a real newb, but what exactly is inbetweening? Heh, sorry, but your all talking about it, and now i want to know, because it seems as though it would be useful.

Yeah, sorry Sangfroid, i totally snubbed ya there. Great cycle.
So then basically just animating any cycle would be inbetweened really, wouldn't it? Like if i animated a guy spinnign in a circle, then anything between his start of facing forward, and his end of facing forward would essentially be inbetweened.

Definitly put up the link Sangfroid, i really looking forward to seeing what u guys have in the works. :D
Monsieur not to confuse u but. U have ur keys those usually r ur poses where one action starts and stops. u then have ur breakdown keys. These r to show ur line of action and the curve u intend to use. Then u have ur anticipation keys. These help set up the eyes to see the action to come. Then the overlap keys. To helps show mass and force. Then inbetween all these keys r ur inbetweens....ok i hope i didn't confuse u.

This is absolutly awesome Sangfroid!
love the way you drw the arms troughout the cycle.
The whole thing looks realy nice and fluid.
If I had to come with some crits:
his left leg doesent seem to lift as much up when it goes towards the camera as his right one. It almost slides on the ground instead
In on one frame, the anklebone (or whatever you call it in english^^) goes realy high up. It kinda makes it look like loose skin that is flopping like a secondary animation addon instead of solid bone mass.
other than that, it looks realy amazing.
Good job! I kinda want to make something similar myself now^^
realy inspiring

bad. ass.
to add to comlock's crit there's a bit of poppin' or wobble in the contour of the arm on our left. near the wrist.
I like the trailing effect as well.
